Prenatal massage
Prenatal massage is designed to offer expectant mothers a moment of relaxation and well-being, entirely dedicated to themselves, while also helping to relieve the physical tension that can develop as the body changes throughout pregnancy.
After completing my prenatal massage training, I waited several months before adding it to my treatment menu. Why? Because I wanted to really take the time to practise and refine my approach. Massaging a body that is preparing to bring new life into the world felt different from anything I had done before. So I practised what I had learned with expectant mothers among my friends and acquaintances, and read and re-read all the theoretical material about the changes the body goes through during pregnancy, until I finally felt ready!
Grounded in a solid theoretical foundation, this massage allows me to tailor each session to your individual needs, while ensuring a safe and reassuring experience.
Massage positions: The massage is mainly performed lying on your side, as well as on your back (for varying lengths of time depending on the stage of pregnancy and each mother's individual comfort).
Cushions and supports are provided to maximise your comfort.
Areas of the body massaged:Back, glutes, legs and arms. Optional (depending on your preferences): scalp, face and abdomen.
Just as every body is unique, every pregnancy is different. That's why, in addition to taking time to talk things through at the beginning of the session, I pay particular attention to your needs and comfort throughout the massage.
We'll take all the time we need to adjust your positioning, accommodate bathroom breaks and make any necessary changes of position!
Prenatal massage is only available in 1 hour 15 minute or 1 hour 30 minute sessions.
